A third generation hardboot, George “Rusty” Arnold is from one of the most respected horse families in Kentucky. Rusty grew up near Lexington working on the family farm, until the lure of the racetrack drew him away. He saddled his first winner in 1975 and his first stakes winner in 1976. By the 1980s, he was training for some of the nation’s most prominent owners, including John Ed Anthony and G. Watts Humphrey. His best horses to date include Grade I winners Wavering Monarch, Little Missouri, West By West, Wicked Style and Victory Ride. In 2009, his charge One Caroline made national headlines as she swept undefeated through her first five starts.
